Calling for the speed limit on Wattleton Road to be cut to 20mph is ridiculous. The section in front of the schools is already a 20mph zone and has speed bumps whick make even that speed a health hazard from whole body vibration shocks.
To suggest that a ****-on collision proves that the road is dangerous and necessitates or justifies the imposition of a 20mph speed limit are unfounded, all this proves is that bad/dangerous driving causes accidents and therfore what is required is the proper policing of the existing limits. Why should people who drive safely and within the existing speed limits be inconvenienced by the imposition of further unnecessary limits whilst those that are not complying with the existing restrictions and driving dangerously continue to escape punishment.
